So sorry to hear that Beauford did not do so well while you were gone. 
When we lived in NM, we used an agency that has nationwide petsitters. 
They take them in their homes. Ours did not do well in kennel but loved 
the sitters. In fact their little girl hated to see Paisley go because 
she slept with her the whole week. Any way the agency had reviews on all 
their sitters. We also met them in their home to see the environment. 
The dogs were part of the initial visit. We were comfortable while we we 
gone and the dogs were fine. Our sitter would text us updates and send 
pics.  If you think this might work for you I can research and find out 
what agency we worked with.
