[Dailydrool] Clarification (and grossly explicit)

Apparently I wasn't paying attention to what I wrote to the Drool about
rabies testing.
What I meant was:
My Understanding is that any dog (or cat) that dies *within ten days of
having bitten someone* must be tested for rabies. Since the test requires
brain tissue, the head is usually delivered to a certified laboratory where
someone trained inspects the tissue.
Otherwise if the animal is still living, it is quarantined for ten days.
I was not speaking of disposal of pets that have passed away without biting
someone.
