[Dailydrool] Good Dogs

I put this on FB but I will put it here as well because I am still stunned
at my good dogs and how wonderful they are: They CAME WHEN THEY WERE CALLED
in spite of the skunk standing a few yards away staring them, shocked to
find dogs in the yard it had just come under the fence to dig grubs in.
I had gone out with the flashlight and even illuminated that particular
area before I let the dogs outside and there was nothing in the yard but
within seconds of letting them out I heard ML's distinct "Varmint" yodel
And I flew out with the flashlight I mean I tore out the door with my heart
pounding and sure enough there was a big old skunk standing staring down ML
and she, staring back, hesitating ever so slightly and I called "Merta
Loooo, Merta Come!"  (Doc came when I stepped out of the door he was
already sure we were not supposed to shaer occupec. He went inside and I
guess they thought you had super power because they both abandoned the
skunk in favor of praise (Oh such praise!) and goodies (Cheese! She got out
the cheese and gave us Cheese!!) and more goodies (Treats! Look at all
these treats just for coming in)
