Hi all,

 

I have to chime in on the dress code issue, as I, too, have long wondered
about some of the "costumes" worn by the handlers.  I  have to second Bev's
comment about shoes - the handlers with the sparkly shoes, or wildly
colored, or whatever, don't seem to understand that their job is to show off
the dog, not their sartorial choices.  I also wish that some of the women
would select skirts in a larger size, knowing that they are going to be
nationally televised bending over a dog.

 

Personally, I thought the basset was lovely (as they all are) and was
disappointed in the selection of the whippet among the hounds.  Sadly, the
best in show to the poodle was not unexpected, but disappointing nonetheless
( although I did like the bow to the crowd!) Here's to a win by a REAL hound
next year!
