We’ve adapted from 4 to 3 hounds. The singing has increased in frequency, I suspect the extra “practice” is to get adjusted to being a trio instead of a quartet. Guinness is trying to take his tenor down to the late MacKenzie’s baritone. They are now cleaning their bowls, changing their food might have helped. Mulligan, age approximately 9, was coughing a bit, and after losing MacKenzie to lung cancer, we took her right to the vet. X-ray seemed to indicate pneumonia as the likely culprit. Cream cheese makes the antibiotics go down and the coughing has ceased! She goes for her vet follow up on Wednesday. Guinness, almost 9, got some pain meds to deal with his sore teeth (the few he has remaining from Stomatitis). We’re trying to deal with his skin issues (he wears a belly band.) Gallagher, at 12, got diagnosed with Stomatitis too (the boys are cousins). He has a few lumps, but with a heart murmur, not a candidate for more surgery. Such is the life of senior citizens living with senior dogs.
