[Dailydrool] Nellie the escape artist

 One of my basset boys was known to dig and try to burrow into small spaces.  He dug out and would army crawl under the concrete foundation under my garden shed.  He scared us to death a few times by going "missing" under there so I know how you feel!  He did it seeking out a cool spot but it made me nervous so we had to fill it in.  Even after that he would dig out other spots to lie in and he learned how to open the door to the crawlspace to go in there and lay on the cool concrete.  He also is the one that escaped the fence like a ninja three times.  His brother, luckily, always told on him.  He was only 37 lbs so being on the small side I guess helped him squeeze into tight spaces.  And in general he lived up to his name Rascal Rooney.  Fitz, on the other hand, was stockier and only cared to burrow in his bed and thought all that digging was too much work!Enjoy your stay in Asheville!  Beautiful spot.
