[Dailydrool] Had Anyone used Apoquel for Their Itchy Hound?

Aloha Droolers,

My Hobs had been itching like crazy these past few weeks.  So much so, she jumps into the bathtub and asks for a bath.  I’ve been using a medicated shampoo prescribed by her Vet.  Seems to offer some relief for a day or two but she’s still itchy.  Was told by a friend to try “Apoqel”.  She used it on her standard poodles and found instant relief.  She said the rare side effects include ear infections and weight gain, the only 2 things my  3-year old Hobs has encountered.  She gives her dogs the meds once a month and says it comes in either a pill or an injection.  

Anyone have information on this drug.  I’m calling my vet tomorrow but thought I ask the Basset experts too.
