[Dailydrool] Beauford Update

Hi one and all. I know. I seldom give the reports, but everyone else is
busy, so I thought I would sneak onto the computer and let everyone know we
are still alive. It has been really crazy around here. First, the mom had a
terrible asthma flareup after Thanksgiving. Then the dad got the sick that
shall not be named. Mom was a complete and total wreck! The dad doesn't
have a regular human vet and he started having trouble breathing. The mom
couldn't get him seen for 2.5 days and the ERs were all slammed. She had me
checking on the wait times on the Internet. They never got below 8 hours.
The dad ran a fever for 10 days! She finally broke down and gave him
nebulizer treatments, cause she has a nebulizer. Browyn the Fairy Princess
really hates it, but I digress. The dad was finally seen at 6:00 am via
telemed. The human vet said he had pneumonia. He started feeling much
better once he started taking medicine for that. Mom made him swallow his
pills with water. I prefer to have my pills in homemade peanut butter pill
dough. Anyway, the dad was so sick and there was a mess up with Browyn's
sleep normal medications. It was the week between Christmas and New Years
and she couldn't get it fixed until everyone quit partying and went back to
work. Anyway, Browyn wasn't letting anyone sleep. So, the mom, Bugsey and I
didn't get any sleep for 3 whole days. Bugsey and I toughed it out, but the
mom got sick. No one would see her until she got tested for the thing no
one one can name. She just got a really wicked sinus infection that knocked
her out! Fortunately the dad was starting to feel better so he could help
us take care of her. Then she had to have oral surgery. That took all my
nursing abilites! Right now we are all healthy again, but it took some
doing.

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I was feeling terrible! I was panting
all the time and drinking tons of water. The mom thought it was my heart
giving out, but I just had Cushing's Disease. Silly mom! Now I just take a
pill once a day for that and I am almost as good as new! The very first
medicine at the first dose they tried had me all better. Well, I was having
trouble walking, but they tried me on some arthritis medicine and now I am
chasing Browyn around and humping her face. The mom thinks I am being mean.
Me! I wasn't mean until Browyn wiped me out on the hill! I explained that I
am the alpha and she is just a Fairy Princess and she has to listen to me.
So, she knocked me over again! Besides Browyn, my biggest problem right now
is that mom keeps pulling out my fluffies! It is so undignified!

Bugsey is doing much better with his IBD. The vet put him on this new food
that is rice and eggs. He loves it and it loves him. For the most part his
medicine keeps him doing pretty good unless he goes outside and roots
around in the mud to find something he shouldn't eat. Then the mom has oral
cerinia and the cerenia she give him with a big huge needle. Personally, I
try not to do needles, but after she does that he quits shaking and moaning
and drooling everywhere.

I think we have established already that Browyn the Fairy Princess is a
terrible brat. According to Aunt Sandy, that isn't cause for losing her
title. Apparently if you are born a Fairy Princess, a Fairy Princess you
shall remain. What nonsense! Now that she finally has her sleeping/anxiety
meds she is almost tolerable.

We are so very sorry that so many wonderful hounds are going to the bridge.
Bugsey and I are drooling as much heart healing drool as we can manage.
Browyn is giving snooter kisses. Hopefully we will try to do a bit better
about writing. Everyone please be safe!
