I was a bit of a late bloomer on the DD - had been born to a 4 generation basset family, yet the internet was just getting going and home computers were not in every household.Early - Mid 90's??  I had Cocshall (ATB 2002).It was great fun until we opened Daphneyland in 2002 and then my whole world became hands on bassets 24/7 and continues this very day!I try to keep up, but social media, running Daphneyland and up to my neck in bassets daily has me limited on posting etc.
Today I have Thunder, whom I co-own with Sandi Wittenberg. The lovely Bernice co-habilitates here with us - having come in paralyzed, went thru rehab and got her up and running yet severe separation anxiety had her returned from an adoptive home. Her favorite man Luis currently is residing here, so he has adopted Bernice and she lives here with us and Thunder.Newest gal is a cancer hospice case that came in, obviously over bred, locked in a church and starving for months, we rescued her, she was in the vetspital for several months before arriving her.  We named her "Lourdes"She was completely shut down, but our two resident hounds are teaching her how to be a hound.  It's a joy to watch her improve a bit each day.Roomba is also with us, having suddenly crashed he has defied the vets and is working on recovery here.
Then there are the 67 hounds that call Daphneyland home. Not enough time to tell you all about each one.Back to adoption appointments and intakes - nice to read familiar names and see "Droolers" participating!

Dawn (of the West) Smith, who recently had a visit from Dawn of the East.
