Our July rescue for $5 Friday is New England Basset Hound Rescue..  This little rescue has been overwhelmed very recently with the intake of 5 seniors that came from a difficult situation - no vetting in a number of years and with rotten and abscessed teeth, infected ears, lots of cysts and lumps, some of them infected and oozing and bleeding . . . dental estimates are coming in at a minimum of $1000 as there will be lots of extractions - doesn’t include the antibiotics that the dogs have to take before they have their dental.   Lumps and cysts are being treated with antibiotics and those removals will begin for each dog once they are recuperated from their dental.  I wish I could send pictures. In spite of their issues, all 5 are the sweetest dogs! Debbie’s Dawgs sent beds to the ones that needed a new one and some of our supporters are sending treats to them. If you’d like to send to one of the dogs, email me a I’ll get you the info.   

Please donate this month if you can - these dogs are going to be a huge expense for this smaller rescue!  We’re having our usual small auction this month to bring in some more money - if you have an item that will bring in some good bids, please consider donating it. Email me on that if you have something as well.  Debbie’s Dawgs would love to pay for these dogs’ dentals.
