A big thank you to Debbie Thompson-Jenkins (momperson to Homer ob da West
and Orygun Bob) for stepping forward to transport Buford from Portland to
Eugene, Oregon!

Buford tomorrow will have three hops to get to grandma. I'll take him from
Olympia to Longview. Mike Parsons of Oregon Basset Rescue will meet me there
and get him to Debbie in Portland, and Debbie will do the long-haul from
Portland to Eugene.

Collectively, we'll shave about 8 hours (that's a whole work day!) off of
Buford's grandma's round-trip from California to pick him up and get him
back to her safe and loving home.

Buford at this moment is sitting under my feet in my office, probably trying
to figure out what on earth has happened to his life. He likes Aretha,
though, and the cookies here aren't bad....so I think we'll do fine
overnight....
