Some breeds have a condition called "snow nose" where the nose loses pigment
in the winter and gets pinkish.  I believe these dogs regain their usual
pigment in the summer.  I have also noticed over the years that some of my
red and whites start out with very black noses, but after a few years the
color begins to have a more brownish tint.
