You don't mention Barley Jane's age.  If she is under 12 - 16 weeks, she may
have physical difficulty "holding it" all night.  She might need a mid-night
potty run.  Or you might want to put up the water dish a few hours before
bedtime to help her make it through the night.  She may also feel lonely -
some people have success by putting the crate in the bedroom.

Or you may want to just give in to the inevitable and let her sleep in the
bed <G>.
