[Dailydrool] This and that and an update

So glad to hear that Mary, Ms. Beasley's mom, is well enough to perhaps come
home from the hospital Monday. We'll be glad to know she's back home with
you!

It's so good to hear that Lukie is doing better, and that he even managed to
stand yesterday. The bassets are sending drool that he heals quickly and is
back to his old self, albeit with a bit more caution about dashing out of
gates.

Healing drool to Ginger for all her various ailments. She is so lucky to be
with Susan until she gets well.

Congratulations to Linda and Lynn on Dewey -- what a cutie! I know Merlin
helped guide you to each other.

And finally an update on my gang. Geoffrey is doing a bit better; he even
wanted to go for a walk last night so we walked with no leash and collar,
very slowly, up to the corner. But he did his business and felt like he got
out, so that was good. And he slept all night with us in bed, the first
time since he hurt himself. He climbed up the steps (I have basset/cat
steps next to our bed) all by himself, so although he's still quite sore,
there's definitely improvement. After the initial inflammation and pain
subsides I'm going to bring him to a holistic vet I've used in the past for
accupuncture treatments and will ask them to see if he's a candidate for
chiropractic treatments too.

And the kitty came out of the tiniest hole yesterday morning, in a
cinderblock with a hole in it where our main water supply comes into the
house. Poor thing came down and stood rubbing against me trembling. I now
have her in a guest room with a solid door between her and the bassets.
We'll give her some time to adjust to the noise of the bassets before we try
graduating to the room with just the baby-gate to keep them out.

Thank you all for your healing drool and kind thoughts -- Droolers are the
best!! Laura (Geoffrey, Molly, Henry, Scooter (a/k/a "Kitty"), Lisa (ATB),
Dub-Dub (ATB))
