[Dailydrool] neediness

I'm just getting caught up on the last couple week's drools, (it's been
crazy around here) and I wanted to chime in on the thread from last week
regarding sudden neediness and bassets being very clingy (or more so
than usual). I read both of the posts on this subject and got goose
pimples up and down my arms because Diva has been acting the same exact
way for the last week or maybe 10 days. I was thinking that it could be
the new fosters we brought home, but it's been going on since before
then. She got to the point where she was standing under my feet while I
brushed my teeth, sleeping curled up outside my bedroom door and waking
from a dead sleep to follow me if I went from the sofa to the bathroom.
She is my shadow normally, and she follows me everywhere and wants to be
with me constantly, which is fine because I love her company more than
most people I know, but this behavior was different, somehow, and it
seemed to have something else associated with it, like she was afraid
that if she was more than an inch from me I'd disappear forever.
Nothing has changed in our home, at least that I'm aware of. On a
basset level, who knows...maybe something I did makes me smell
different, but I can't think of what it could be. Anyway, I found it
strange that all three of our hounds were exhibiting this really clingy
type of behavior almost at the same time and that it had come on
suddenly, without any triggers. What's up with that??? (I can hear the
Twilight Zone music playing in the background!!!)

Where's Diva? Just find mom, and look down.
