[Dailydrool] Outsmarted by basset

My baby boy Stewie and I have been engaging in a battle of wits for some weeks now, and I beleive that I have lost as of today.....

The dining room in our house is gated off, and that is where the 2-leggers toys and play area is.  Stewie DESPERATELY wants into this room to play with all said toys.  There is a large gate that STewie figured out how to open, score 1 Stewie....said to myself, well the rug protector turned upside down would be uncomfortable to stand on and he won't get close enough to open gate, Stewie could not care less about the little nubbies digging into the paws, score 2, well if I put the ottoman on top of the rug protector and in front of the gate then he would have to move the ottoman to get to the gate to open it...ha ha ha I'll show him, yeah right, Stewie scored again....well surely I am smarter than a dog right?  Wrong....got another gate, so now there are 2 gates to get through into the dining room....took shower this morning, when I came down Stewie was in the dining room, only 1 gate opened?????  How did he do that!!!  But my little man Stewie had apparantly had enough of my little shenanigans so he climbed up onto the dining room table and marked it!!!!! grrrrrr....
