[Dailydrool] Need Help

Looking for some answers on how to help out Fred-seven month old Basset. He had to have ear surgery-had part of it ripped. He now has to wear a funnel for 3 weeks. How do I help him get use to it.
Also he is not really potty trained-just had him 2 weeks-thinking about keeping in the house and cleaning up the messes for a few days and then trying to start retraining on potty breaking.
Any suggestions will be helpful.
