[Dailydrool] Jason

First, Charlie Brown and Barney are slinging drool to anyone that needs it in case it might help. I want to send my prayers out to all droolers that have suffered losses lately and prayers to those that have sick houndies.
 
Jason is not a hound, but my neighbor's cat. Actually, for the last few months, he has started spending time with us because we give him attention and he gets along great with the dogs. They never cared that much because it was her grand-daughter's cat and when she moved, she left the cat with. So, Jason really didn't get any attention and wasn't fed well so I guess that's why he started coming my way. Anyway, Jason was hurt last week one night and the vet believes it was a much larger cat. Well I tried to keep the area clean and I told my neighbor about it but she wasn't really concerned and finally I told her she needed to take him to the vet because his hind leg was getting swollen and he just didn't feel good. She finally after 2 days agreed and I went with her and I did more talking to the vet about him than she did. Anyway, the vet said he had the worst abscess she had ever seen in her years of being a vet and probably another two days and he
 wouldn't be alive. They did surgery and put in this huge tube that I just couldn't believe and of course he's on antibiotics and his 3 holes has to be cleaned with a solution 3 times a day and he' s wearing one of those collars. He goes back to the vet on Monday for the tube to be taken out. Jason is now part of my family because my neighbor said she didn't have time to mess with him and she never really liked him to begin with and she was going to get "rid" of him. So I have a new addition to my already large pet family, but I didn't think twice about. Needless to say, it's given me a new opinion on my neighbor, but I"m going to do my best to take care of him. If anyone has any spare drool, I'm sure he would appreciate it being sent his way. Charlie has already covered his collar with it.
