Long time no post to the drool--just been busy during the dog days of
summer. But...we're alive and well in CO. We were the ones who were
at the Escapees RV Club 30th Birthday rally in Gillette, WY, and we
had a doggone good time! We did our usual "Ham-O-Rama" skit with our
3 Bassets on a table to the tune of Do Your Ears Hang Low...it's so
silly but they always ask us to do it for the 2000 person crowd. And
I also did a skit with Rosie to "I'm a little teapot", which is also
SILLY! Snowy, our English Setter, doesn't do the skit but she is
always with us. How funny that your friend mentioned us in her
postcard to you, Mary. We love the Escapees Club and have been to
about 15 of their rallies all over the country. I ate my dessert
first and went Fulltime RVing at 27 and now I'm settled at 38 starting
on a new career. I survived my first year of teaching high school and
had a blast with my students. I also enjoyed coaching the JV Girls'
tennis team which kept me very busy. Unfortunately, it's hard to keep
up with the drool, but it's always on my mind.

We're sure glad we didn't miss Secret Pawtner signups and will be
waiting with baited breath on July 25th to sign up, yahoooo!

Sorry to hear about Bob the Dog's neck problems, we're sending drool
to him as well as the others in need. We've been through the neck
disk ordeal and wish you well BTD. We'll miss the Oregon Basset
Olympics this year, shucks! It's my 20 year reunion that weekend and
I'm on the planning committee.

The k9casa is doing well. We're enjoying the new dog park that Tony
and I pushed the city of Pueblo for--it's the first one in town! It's
been birthday month around here. Spike turned 9 on the 4th of July,
Gomer just turned 6, June 29th, and Rosie will be 4 in two days.
Rosie was the hero who chewed through the giant 3 Dog Bakery bone at
the Dog Park Grand Opening last month. The local television stations
and newspaper were there and got it on camera. It was very exciting
that our dogs were the ones who got to do the ribbon cutting/dog bone
chewing.

Love, hugs and drool to all--hi Susan and the tank hounds--we miss you
in CO!
