I, Pw. Lady Jane the Imperious, declare that flat bassets are to be done whenever the basset is not happy with the situation in which she finds herself.

My personal preference is for doing flat bassets when the weather is warm (above 60 degrees) and the humans want me to walk somewhere. However, I do not spread all four legs out. I simply plop down in a lying position and become an immovable object.

Many potential slaves have stopped cars to make certain my humans are not mistreating me or that I am not ill. Of course neither is true! And I'm not really trying to find new slaves, just getting the homage a regal basset deserves.

Flat bassets are the ultimate in slave manipulation. I recommend them to all bassets with slaves in training.
