[Dailydrool] It's Secret Pawtner time!

Signups for the secret pawtner exchange start Friday,
July 25th and will go through the following Friday,
August 1st.  There is a web site (link posted below)
with information about secret pawtner and about
signing up for the exchange and for the separate
secret pawtner digest.  Be sure to sign up for the
secret pawtner  digest if you are participating so you
don't miss any of the fun OR any of the updates and
information that will be posted there.  Clues will be sent
to the secret pawtner digest so those not participating in
the exchange won't have to wade through the clues in
the regular Daily Drool.

If you've never participated in the secret pawtner
exchange, please go to the web site and read the
information and then email me with any questions
you might have.

Brief reminders:

The gift is for the HUMAN but treats or surprises are
mandatory for the hounds.

Stay as close to budget as possible - $30 for the
human gift or $15 if you are doing the "mini" exchange.
The "mini" exchange is open to everyone - there's
just a smaller spending limit.

Deadline for packages to REACH their destination
is Sat. Aug. 23. Note that this is NOT the mailing
deadline!

Rescues are great resources for secret pawtner
gifts. Be sure to let them know when you need
your package to go out and make sure you ask
them to include your email address in the package.

Remember that not all participants post clues. But
if you say that you are going to post clues when you
sign up, you need to follow through and post those
clues.  If you are not posting clues, you still need to
sign up for the secret pawtner digest so that you
don't miss any information regarding the exchange
that may be posted there.

Plan ahead, especially if you have the potential
for an emergency situation - have a back up plan
to get your package out on time whether it's getting
a Drool buddy or a neighbor to help you out or
enlisting the services of one of the rescue stores
to send a package for  you.

Droolers who do not live in the U.S. are welcome
to sign up. (It would be helpful if those who do not live
in the States would sign up ASAP)

Open to Droolers only.

Thank yous are a MUST - this means a personal
thank you via a note or email and not just a thanks
posted on the secret pawtner digest.

Lastly, if you sign up and don't send out a package,
you will be banned from future exchanges.
