[Dailydrool] Dogs biting letter carrier

As an owner of dogs who love the USPS letter carrier, I'm not worried about their possible biting.  But, when I was in college, I worked for the PO every summer carrying mail.  Dogs normally love me, but when I put on that leather mail pouch, some of the nicest dogs would go wild.  Dogs are territorial, and there you are entering their territory and approaching the front door.  I encountered a number of dogs who exhibited great joy in being very quiet until I reached the mailbox on the fence and then leaping up into the air while barking, scaring the crap out of me!
   
  I was only bitten once by a little dog who ran after me and bit me in the calf. 
   
  There must be a class dogs take that instructs them in hating the UPS driver, the letter carrier, the meter reader, etc.
