Oh my, what an awful experience, thank goodness you had a dazer! I am glad to know that everyone is physically okay. I am so sorry that you and Brudder had to go through such anguish and then to have Elder Clara jump him.
I am going to assume this is not a young puppy. If the situation had happened to me I would just call animal control and forgo discussing it with the owner. The dog first went after a small boy, had the dad not been there, that lad could have been hurt very badly. You and Brudder both could have been seriously injured. I can believe that the boys just stood there and watched. I have to wonder if this was not a game to them as they did not try to restrain after the first attempt. A dog that will attack unprovoked creates a dangerous safety issue.
I know that discussing this with the owner is the neighborly thing to do, but what if they ignore the situation? I personally would not want to risk my kidz, myself, or anyone else's well being on the belief that the owner will take care of the situation. That's my 2 cents worth.
Lots of drools to help you and Brudder get over this horrid event,.

Am I taking the best course of action-or just let animal control step
in?? I need the droolers trusty advice--
and once again thanks to the droolers that suggested the Dazer--things
would of been ugly without it--
