[Dailydrool] More than I can bear

First, I would like to thank all of you who have emailed me about Abbi. I
have read every single message and will try to respond to all of you
individually over the next few days. Everyone has been so thoughtful and
supportive that I feel truly blessed to be considered part of the DD family.
I was so afraid to post about Abbi because I felt so guilty for not doing
more for her and I felt that I had failed her. It will take time to heal.

Many of you know that I have suffered several losses this year. Miss Honey
went to the Bridge in January after battling lymphoma. Miss Droopy left us
in March from a cancerous abdominal mass. Then Monday, our loss of Abbi. It
has been so hard.

Yesterday, I found a small lump on Marla's throat. I took her to the vet
today and our vet fears that Marla may also have lymphoma. She took a biopsy
and the results will take about a week. Please have your hounds begin
massive drool production and keep us in your prayers. The tears are flowing
just thinking about it and I don't know if I can bear to lose another. Marla
is our "fluffy" girl and is the sweetest hound I know. At age 10, she is the
matriarch of the house.
