Bleeding ear tips can be a sign of a bleeding disorder, such as vWd or thrombopathia. I would ask your vet for a clotting test. If your vet is not familiar with these disorders, I'd look at getting into a specialist or vet school for testing.

Also, if the dog is shaking his ears that much, I'd have his ears swabbed for mites, because it's a typical presentation for mite infestations in the ears.

I would *not* ignore bleeding ear tips.
