[Dailydrool] About carrots

A friend of mine who is a homeopathic doctor told me that carrots have too much sugar for dogs. I give them to Paddi B Basset anyway, though I do tend to use other vegetables in her food.

If your dog likes carrots he/she will also likely like yams -- Paddi B is definitely a yam fancier! I cut yams in slices or quarter them depending on size and she's just as enthusiastic about them as she is about carrots.

So -- please note I'm not meaning to say, "No carrots!" Just passing on something someone has told me. Has anyone else heard anything about the sugar content?
