[Dailydrool] feeding time - I'm with Katie

My girls are the same way as Katie's pups. Their food is always down
for them, they graze as they please, and neither of them or the big fat
lazy cat Choncey think feeding time is any big deal at all. Unless it's
human feeding time. Then it's of monumental importance, of course! Lol
When we brought Sophie home, there was some jealousy and food issues,
and since Sophie was so frail and thin we figured it was because she had
been used to having to fight for her food or to not having enough to
eat. We quickly trained her that this was unacceptable. Now, when we
give treats, cheese, bones, toys, whatever, the girls must first sit,
stay and then they get their treats at the same time, gently from my
hand. We have four human kids in the house besides the two dogs. If we
didn't put a stop to possessiveness and teach them to peacefully share
their things, we'd be in a war zone!!
