[Dailydrool] White

I've just noticed that my big, smooshy red and white hound is looking decidedly off-white of late particularly under the eyes where the eye boogie congeals (nice).
 
We bathed him the other day but there's still a dark-redish discolouration.  
 
Does anyone have any tips that would bring my hound back to the dazzling white of his puppy-hood?
 
He was so cute then <sigh>.
