[Dailydrool] 14 year old basset being given up

We had three given up?two years ago by someone in Northern California.? Brother and sister.? We also thought it was horrible.

They both just turned 16.? Granny Ma and Amos.

Amos lives in Southern California at the basset hound ranch and Granny Ma lives with us.

The best thing that ever happened to those dogs was getting surrendered.? 

They have been loved, pampered, spoiled and gotten needed medical care.

It is wrong that the original owner couldn't give them this?? Hard to say what happened.? Maybe when they realized they couldn't take care of the dogs, that is when they got them to help.? Probably not though.? They were in bad shape when we got them.

So just remember that when dogs come in to rescue that is sometimes the best thing that ever happened for them.
