[Dailydrool] Puppy Mill or BYB

I think these people are trying to make money off their dogs, but they aren't breeding on a scale that would make them a commerical breeder or puppy mill in my mind. The APRI registration is like printing a certificate off the internet - basically worthless. It says nothing about the quality of the dog.

I would not buy from an operation like this for many reasons - but mostly because they claim to be selling quality dogs but aren't doing anything to make sure the dogs they are selling are not only healthy at the time or sale, but also down the road. Many, if not most, genetic problems don't appear for years and it can be heartbreaking to an owner who thought that by buying from a "breeder" that they were buying a healthy animal. I suspect these people probably love their animals and mean well, but aren't really qualified to breed dogs.
