[Dailydrool] I love nylabone & drool request

[LaRock Hounds]

I must admit that I love nylabone. As a basset slave, I do not mean that I
have placed the products in my mouth or anything weird like that.  I went
out of my way today to go buy some new toys for the 3 hounds. Notice that I
said 3 when I have 4 hounds.  The eldest basset, Maggie, will be 9 years old
in less then 2 months.  Everyone was so excited when I started opening toys.
I would toss it on the ground and a hound would run up and take off. I came
to the nylabone liver chewie and I went to hand it to Cooper and someone ran
forward and snatched it between their teeth and took off. I was dumbfounded.
It was Maggie!  She does not play with toys. If she finds that she grabs a
toy when she is excited running around, she will spit it out.  She detests
toys, even as a puppy.  First I thought it was the liver scent or flavor
that had her come running. Then, I came to the corn on the cob chewie and
Maggie ran up and I handed it out and she put her mouth around it and
trotted her fluffy butt right away.  Of course I didn't have my camera ready
as I was dealing with another mini crisis around here.

That brings me to my next subject.  The youngest slave could use some
drool.  My 9 year old son came down with a very high temperature today.  I
was frantic trying to bring it down. I got it down to 103 axillary temp.
That is still too high for my liking.  I did the cool bath, fluids, light
clothing (just boxers), bathtub, etc.  I even called the nurse hotline for
our insurance company.  The issue is that a high temp. makes him breathe
heavier and he already has asthma.  Anyhow, just well wishes if you please
to the basset snuggling boy.
