Thanks Robert,

To be honest when I saw your post I just couldn't resist, all in fun though. I've had both Tas and Fiz since they were puppies, I got involved with rescue shortly after I brought Fiz home, so we didn't have to deal with the challenges a rescue can present. Also I'm divorced and don't have any kids, I have more time to devote to these types of things than most people do. I'm sure Riley has improved in leaps and bounds and that your efforts with him would put us to shame. Tas and Fiz definitely have their basset moments (several appear in both videos). They are therapy dogs and sometimes I know the other dog owners are just shaking their heads at us. When I get too big of a inferiority complex we go and hang out with bassets again and I feel much better about things.

If it helps about two weeks ago the phone rang when I was eating dinner, I set the food down and told the boys "off" while I grabbed the phone. When I came back about 20 minutes later Fiz was licking the plate clean. If it had been 15 minutes I might have salvaged dinner but 20 was just more than he could handle.

Take care and give your three belly rubs and snooter kisses from me!

Mary, Pw. Tasselhoff and Fizban

HA !! And you claim "no one else to hold the camera" (sure I thought first maybe super glue or invisible leashes.. but more likely you had someone stashed away behind the couch or beside the chair...

And then as you walked around... that person came out... held the hounds with all their strength from getting the chicken... till the boys saw *you* coming toward the front door when they became their "innocent" selves again and that "hidden person" took off again..

I **refuse** to believe there are bassets **that** well disciplined..

LOL !!!

OK... you're lucky.. OH SO LUCKY!! And obviously GREAT at training them!! :-)

Riley was a stray for an unknown amount of time .. he came to me he was barely 40 pounds, his normal average healthy weight is 65lbs (yes, like cartman he's big boned), was very food aggressive ... still has issues... but we can at least feed all three in the same room ... and they have "DOWN" before getting food mastered..

Riley is the only one that needed to learn "gently" for taking treats.. both Franklin & Henry take treats gently

maybe I should be shooting for a higher goal.. I guess its the endless battle to teach them they've nothing to worry about... the treats we place for them they will have.. in due time.. :)

Thanks for the Vid... very happy to be proved wrong by such handsome houndies!!
