Brudder Elwood, me sur gets mad at de mom dis mornin wen she read de dwool
to me.  she musta missed de post on de cawendar.  me made her go stwait to
de bewwyrubs site and vote fer you, jake, elder clara and daisy.  Boy, me
forget jus how pwetty a houdette daisy is....Hi Daisy!!!
To Jacques and all de OEBEs.  Me mus cofwess dat me is twained to leeb it
awso.  But, it not sooooo bad - me gets wots more tweets dat way cause
nobuddy beweive dat a basset boy will leeb food and tweets awone so, dey
just keep gibben me de tweets to see iffin me will weally leeb dem.  I not
sooo dum.

Mom here.  Henry is also a leave it/take it bassett.  A year ago, we were on
vacation at the beach with my son and his family.  Henry was doing the
basset grab and run - I was so afraid that he would get one of my
grandchildrens fingers.  I had been to the emergency room once with a deep
cut on a finger from one of his grab and runs.  My son got all the adults
together showed us what to do and within 2 or three days, Henry would leave
it!  I was amazed.  That's not to say that he won't take things if you don't
tell him to leave it!  His greatest coup was at the Brood Ramble when he
snagged a bag of treats out of a teenagers hand and ran..... treats were
flying in every direction..;...it looked like an Easter egg hunt for
Bassets.  By the time the teenager gave up, all Henry was left with was an
empty bag.
We are sending drool to all those who need it.  Such a sad time on the drool
lately.  Henry sends houndie hugs to all.
