Eleri has been trying to send this post but the e-mail system in France has
been bouncing it. She asked that I forward it for her.

Bone-jour, Miss Penny & Miss Polly woofin' in from across the waves in
France.

Tis MOI, Miss Polly, the dizzy one but I suppose I have to grow up
sometime, so
here I am doing the writing today <sigh>.

We wrote to Georgie when we heard about the sad news of Miss Beckie but
our
email bounced back due to her inmail box being full. Da mum is worried
about
Georgie. Is anyone in vocal contact with her? Do any droolers live near
her?
Anyone any idea how to get in touch with her? Thank you.

We are in the UK at the moment because da mum's dad (our grandpa) is not
doing
so well with his big C, so we are here to visit him. He is in a nursing
home at
the moment and they have pet therapy visitors there. Yesterday we
actually had
to WORK !!!! We were roped in to going round visiting patients. It was
not too
bad - we got plenty of cuddles but NO FOOD !!!!! Hmmm, wonder if we'll
have to
do that again? If so, I reckon we need a representative to negotiate our
terms
- one cuddle = a nickzillion biscuits. What do you reckon?

I should explain why I am writing. Big sis Miss Penny is a bit sad. She
had very
bad news yesterday. Her daughter, Valrhona (who came to stay with us a
couple
of years ago, remember? She was on our christmas card that year), had
been sick
(throwing up sick, that is) for a few days. We were on our way up to the
UK and
we visited her. She had tummy tortion a few months back and has had
problems
ever since. Da mum told her da mum to go back to the vet's and get MORE
info.
Bloods were okay and da mum thought maybe she had something blocking her
throat
or somewhere stopping the food going down. Anyways, Valrhona went back to
 the
vet's and he sent her to a speshullist who uses a camera thing to have a
look -
like they use for pregnant ladies. It's callled an echographie in French,
but
we don't know the English word. Anyways, the end result is that nothing
can be
done for Valrhona as she has all her stomach muscles and things that don't
work
any more. This is due to poisoning. The vet man said it was sulphates.
Next
door to Valrhona's house there are peach trees and the farmer sprays them
(from
a plane) with sulphate to kill the bugs and things. Some probably landed
on the
grass in her garden and she ate it. The vetman also said that there was
nothing
he could do to save Valrhona and it will probably end up attacking the
nervous
system. He said that is why people get Alzheimers!

We are wondering if we are ever going to eat fruit again!

Hugs and lurps to you all. We are sorry that we are not on the drool more
often
but things are very difficult here at the moment. We are travelling
backwards
and forwards from France to the UK all the time.

Miss Penny and Miss Polly
