[Dailydrool] New Dog in the Neighborhood?

I was standing on our upper deck this morning, enjoying the nice weather, looking down at a house on the next street over.  I saw a basset hound sleeping on the back porch of the house.  I though, "how nice, someone has moved into the neighborhood with a basset."  Then I noticed how similar the basset was to my own Roland, Duke of Ears.  Wait a minute, it was Roland!

I called, but Roland just looked up at me and didn't budge.  I ran downstairs to double check that the actual Roland was not in our backyard.  I was just going to get the leash and drive over to the other house when Roland appeared at the back door, coming up from the direction of the other house.  He had found a section of fence that had broken loose from a rotting cross piece.  

It's now a little over an hour until the 60th birthday party for my husband starts. Bill left for Home Depot to get the material for emergency fence repair.  He came home and hastily patched the fence together just as the guests for the party were arriving.
