[Dailydrool] Gus' Guts Are In Hock! Can you help?

One of the olddogs at House of Puddles, Gus, had to have emergency surgery
over the weekend and now his guts are in hock.  At $5,000+, HOP's cookie jar
has been emptied and his bills are still climbing.

 

Marilyn's latest update on Gus's condition says:

 

Very worried about Gus. For those that don't know, Gus had surgery last
Friday to remove a blockage from his intestines. They found nodules growing
on his spleen so they removed that, too. He's been recovering at the
emergency vet hospital so he can get round the clock care. They've been
concerned about him because he's had a fever off and on a couple times and
he's not eating on his own.

 

He had a fever again last night and this morning his incision looks
inflamed, so they think that might be the source of the fever. They are
going to open up his incision, flush it out, remove any dead tissue and do a
culture to see what kind of infection it is so they'll know what kind of
antibiotics to give him (he's been on antibiotics but evidently they're not
helping this). He's still not eating on his own but has been tolerating
being fed with a syringe. This is so going to wipe out the HOP bank account,
but how do I stay stop at this point?
