Emily, first let me say I don't think any basset likes being an "only" dog. And even if they do, it builds
character to have a sibling. And the answer is so simple--- FOSTER. Find a rescue in your area, and
foster a basset. Not a lifetime commitment-- see how Sally and your husband feel about a second 
basset. See how you feel about a second basset-- If you find the perfect match for your family, you
can adopt. If you don't, you helped a rescue and most are in dire need of foster homes and money
and all the help they can get in this economy. I wish you were in Utah. Utah Friends of Basset Hounds
has dozens of adorable bassets who really need foster families. But where ever you are, there will be
some needy bassets. Win Win for everyone. Call a rescue today.
