[Dailydrool] Baxter's quest

Baxter 1, Grandma-slave's sandwich 0

Grandma-slave made a beautiful sandwich for lunch yesterday. She split a
fresh sub roll, smeared it with ranch dressing, piled on turkey and banana
peppers, placed a kosher dill pickle on the side, and carried it to the
living room to eat. She also brought along two pig ears to keep the boys
occupied while she had lunch. Someone finally showed up to replace the
missing sprinkler head in the yard, so she put the sandwich on the pass thru
and went outside, only to return to find her sandwich gone and two houndies
smacking their chops.

Baxter's the only one who can jump on the chair to reach the pass thru, so
he gets the "credit" for the sandwich swiping. He did leave the plate
untouched--unusual since he loves to shred anything paper. Grandma-slave's
solution: Anytime she leaves the room with the hounds unattended, she puts
her footstool in her chair to deter the leaping Baxter.

She was so mad at them that she took the pig ears away and ate a pint of ice
cream for lunch instead of making another sandwich.
