[Dailydrool] Pet Insurance

I never bought insurance with my Basset of 13 years, now deceased. His greatest expenses were as a senior dog. But I anticipate needing accident insurance with this small mix I adopted. He explores and eats anything that isn't moving fast. And already in 8 weeks has cost me almost $400 just for shots and trying different flea remedies and worm meds. I spent $5,000 in one year for my Basset as a senior and I totaled up a $10,000 vet tally over his lifetime.I imagine insurance would have been helpful for his medical.I am looking at the ASPCA insurance as a possibility after I finish spending on his present needs, still looking toward neutering in the near future, once his other issues are good.
