[Dailydrool] Constant Bloat and Food Not Digesting

We have a BRF Alumni that is experiencing an almost constant bloat condition that is escalating. It started as a once in a while thing and now anything he eats is doing it. The ever vigilant pawrent keeps gas x in one hand while he feeds him piece by piece of food with the other. His meals take 3 hours to feed him because he bloats up so badly. Bentley (4yrs old) is on a prepared raw diet (Natures's Variety I believe) but they have also tried other foods in a attempt to see if it was food specific. It's not - he does it on any food he eats including Hills I/D.

He is in a vetspital now being poked and prodded by the best of specialists and the pawrent has already told them the stomach is to be tacked down. The only thing they have found so far is the spleen is enlarged (which can mean many things or nothing - stress will do that) and that he has food in his stomach from 24 hours prior - so for some reason it's not moving through the digestive tract.

Please let me know if you have experienced this condition with any of your bassets. This pawrent absolutely adores his Bentley and is frantic although trying to keep himself together.

Thanks for all the wisdom you share with me. And respond privately if you wish.
