[Dailydrool] Happy Birthday Basil!

February 12th is a very special day  - it's my Basil's 7th birthday.  He
has made my life so much happier and richer.  He is the most charming
little man I've ever met.  He can make me bend to his will merely by
batting his long eyelashes at me or tilting his head just so!  He is a
fiercely loyal friend and follows me everywhere.  I love the smell of
his silky fur and his Frito feet (we call them his catcher's mitts).  He
and his sister Lucy sing two songs per day from their perches on the
couch.  She is the bell hound and launches into a lovely and mournful
tune while Basil sounds like a moose in heat!  He has no idea that he is
off key and is so proud of himself when they finish their performance.
He greets us at the door with two toys in his mouth everyday and wags
his tail so hard I fear it will fly right off!  He is my pride and joy
and I am so proud to be his mom.  We will be celebrating this momentous
occasion with a turkey meatloaf with cheese frosting and some new toys
and treats.  He will be wearing his "It's My Birthday And I'll Bark If I
Want To" t-shirt!    I love you my Fuzzy Buzzy!
