[Dailydrool] I knew better

I went into pets unlimited to get some frog food for my sons aqua frogs. I thought ok I will go look at the puppies I would never ever buy one in the store but went anyway. There was a bull mastiff, he must have been 3- 4 months old all scrunched up in a window cage. He put his paw out and touched my hand through the glass at which point the tears started. Hubby came to calm me down but my heart was already broke. I sat there and said a prayer that these stores will somehow be banned from selling any puppies. and that the last of the puppies would get a good home. Before I left I saw one staff member pick him up and hug him as if to say he does get love but I knew better, I came home and hugged my babies tight still sobbing. Some how in this world the madness has to stop. The puppy mills need to be held accountable and no puppy should ever be sold in a store in any manner. There should only be reputable breeders with licenses that could be revoked for non compliance to rules and regulations. I pictured little basset hounds there too heart broken looking for a home. If I had the 2,000.00 asking price, I would not buy him, if he was free I can't say he would not have come home with me. Please say a prayer for the madness to stop
