[Dailydrool] OUR Liddel Storie

Quite awhile back, we took down an above-ground pool that came with the house, but we haven't yet filled in the hole left behind. The "beasts" think that Mommy & Daddy have made them a wonderful sandbox to play in! They play, they sunbathe, they lie around. My husband has been throwing some green waste in there so that we require less top soil when we get to it. In the middle is a pile of prickly pods that came off one of the trees in the back. This past weekend, the DH was mowing the lawn and had gotten into the pool area and saw, from the corner of his eye, something running from the prickly pile. He then went around in another circle and stopped on a dime when the entire pile ERUPTED and baby bunnies hopped in all directions!!!! The nest was in there!! These were not newborn bunnies. These had been living in there for awhile. In the middle of the yard owned and operated by THREE BASSET HOUNDS!!!!! What is wrong with this picture???
