My husband had a bit of a problem many years ago BECAUSE he was being
(somewhat) sensible! He took his Irish Setter (I know, WHAT WAS HE
THINKING?) with him to pick up his paycheck at work. At the time (before I
even knew him), he drove a sporty red Camaro. It was a very hot day and Jim
knew that he couldn't leave Danny (the setter) in the hot car.so cranked the
A/C, opened the door and got out, hit the lock button and went into the
office. Of course, the A/C only worked because the engine was running which
required the key to be in the ignition!!! He returned to the car and
immediately realized that Danny was locked in the car with the keys. It was
quite some time before the situation was resolved.but Danny was nearly a
pupsicle by the time Jim got back into the car! Danny stayed home on hot
days thereafter.
