[Dailydrool] shelly and sad calendar days

Shelly, I know how you feel.  I'm dreading my mom's birthday on July 
28.  That's the day chosen this year for Roscoe P Hunter's page.  He 
left us last September, after the calendar choices.  She recently said 
to me that she just loves looking at her calendar each day and that she 
never looks ahead.  Oh boy.  I didn't realize that she didn't know he's 
on her birthday.  She turns 76 this year and I inherited my raging love 
for pets from her.  She used to babysit Roscoe during the day after she 
retired, and she was with us when he left for Rainbow Bridge.   She 
would brag to people about her "grandchild" and show pics just the same 
as she does the human kids.  Any suggestions?  Should I tell Maw-Maw 
ahead of time?

calendar. Was I surprised and saddened when I turned the page today.

Today would have been my Doc's 13th birthday. If only I knew when I

picked that day, that he would be gone for it. It is a day of sadness

and heartbreak around here...the first time in 9 years no cake, party

hats or funny videos of frosting on his years. Yet, a good way to pay

tribute to my dearest friend, the reason I got involved in rescue and
