I was interested in the posts about Taste of the Wild as I'm always looking
for A. food that doesn't make Miss Magnolia itch B. food that I can feed all
three without breaking the bank. SAVING some money would be even better! and
C. food that doesn't make Oliver have horrific (-ER!) gas.

I looked up the website, printed the product descriptions, and faxed them
with a cover page to our vet. I must preface by telling you that I really
like this vet, but I'm in the minority. He is VERY passionate about diet and
does not mince words with people about the fact that they are "KILLING their
dogs by overfeeding them", etc. People don't like that too much. We didn't
like it when he yelled at us every time we brought Abigail to see him.
Abigail was very overweight for a good portion of her life. She got an
endless stream of "people food" and snack and treats and whatever she
wanted! We eventually had to send her to the bridge because of unmanageable
neck pain and learned too late that many of the things we had done in love
(including her diet and a tie out and stairs) were really bad for her. In
any case, our vet has celiac disease himself and is very well versed in
nutrition. Even though I sent all three varieties of the Taste of the Wild
foods to him for review, I knew that he likes the antioxidants associated
with fish oil and also noted that the Pacific Stream was the lowest in
calories and guessed that if he approved.it would be that one. He called me
this afternoon and said that we should absolutely try the Pacific Stream
formula! HURRAY! It looks like it's about $10 per (large) bag less than what
we're buying now and since we have to buy a bag every two weeks.that's
exciting news!

Thanks to all who brought this food to my attention! Ellen & Miss Magnolia &
Gracie Lou FlatBasset & Oliver & Abigail (ATB)
