[Dailydrool] Bassets do not fetch

One of the greatest basset stories I remember is The Christmas Day Kitten by James Herriot, the veterinarian who wrote so many endearing animal stories.  Do read it sometime.  The kitten in the story plays fetch much to the surprise of it's lady owner, who owns several bassets. The bassets look on in absolute amazement, but would never stoop to playing fetch.
