Well, it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, in the Brookside area of Kansas City, MO, where the annual Brookside St. Patrick's Day parade took place.  Featured honored guests were members of Mid America Basset Rescue bassets who put on a great show for their audience as they brought up the rear of the parade.  There was a huge crowd at the parade, since the day was so gorgeous, and Raymond and I were proud to be there celebrating the day with all the lovely bassets. Some unusual ones were Thadeus who is a fluffy long haired black & white basset, who shares his residence w/Kim Dunn & husband - Kim being the promoter and originator of MABR and BassetsRus.  She also provides a residence for many, many senior bassets at her Basset Ranch.  One other rare basset was Daisy from Omaha, who is a silver blue basset - such a beautiful coat I'd never seen before.  I believe her foster mother is adopting her now. Raymond didn't bark
 quite as much as he had in previous years, altho he still held his own making his presence known to all.  This was the 10th year for this McWaddle and it was very successful. Our thanks go to Kim for all her efforts on our behalf!
