Anyone else got bassets with funny quirks?

Alfie will go looking for a toy to run around with if he's particularly happy about (i) me coming home from work or (ii) he's about to go on a walk. Millie on the other hand has been known to have a little 'accident' from the excitment when Daddy-slave comes home.

Alfie has a total disregard for the new daffodils that have appeared recently, and will happily charge through them in order to 'water them'. Millie meanwhile will walk around. He pretty much have to pee on every outcrop of grass, and any spot that Millie's chooses. Walking them takes ages.

If Millie hears or sees something unusal on her walks, she'll raise a paw in anticipation.

Both will charge if you sit on 'their' sofa. If you sit there, you and in particular your la, is fair game.

Millie will attempt to climb onto laps on the people-sofa so slowly, so steathfully, you hardly know its happening.

Love and snooters to all the sick hounds out there, and particularly those food-slaves who have lost a hound to rainbow bridge recently. It's been an awful time recently, in that regard.
