[Dailydrool] gardening with bassets

The Echinacea plant I planted last night!

Santana was watching me dig the hole.  I told him no pants go away!  He gave
me the look of disguist.
So I had the plant next to me and he took a bite out of the leaves.  I
yelled for tony to bring cookies to get him out of the flower garden with
me.  He did, he ate his cookies and watched me plant it.

Then later in the evening he went out to do his business and he tore another
piece off.  There we
were in the dark yelling NOOOOOOOOOOOO with the flashlight. Cookies again to
get him out.


Then this morning I saw one of the cone flowers were torn off.  GONE no
trace.
We showered left them outside, I left them back in after I was out.  Lilly
got on the bed someone left muddy paw prints on the bed. hmmmm!?!?! I got
done went out to water the plants.  NO trace of the entire plant just the
hole where I put it.  Luckily I read about all the plants that were safe for
pets...Echinacea is one of them......

Here is how I think it played out:

Santana- "Lillyyyyyyy com ear!! Look at what we are going to do"
Lilly- "Santana what yew got?" "mommy told you last night to leave that
lone"
Santana- "who leave what alone?"  "you take one end and I will take the
odder"
Lilly- "She go get mad at us???"
Santana- "naw it's already torn up, she told daddy this morning she is OVER
that plant and gives up"
Lilly - "yea I did hear her say that"  "ok here we go"
GULP CHOMP GULP CHOMP
Santana "Lilly go run over the hole real fast and see if you can jump over
it"
Lilly "otay lets see here I go"  (Lilly falls in the hole didn't quite make
it)
Santana- "bwahahahaha you fell for it little Ery! Bwahahahaha"
Lilly-"What you mean brudder?"
Mommy-"come on guys come insideeee hurrryyyyy"
They come running and go upstairs Lilly jumps on the comforter and there are
little muddy pawprints where she is laying down.
Mommy-"why do you have muddy paws?"
Santana-giggling and rolling around in the hall way
Lilly "I was framed!"

$11.49 in their tummys!
